Finishes

A great selection of finishes for any surface

PPR Concrete Coatings is committed to providing our customers with the highest quality floors. Our products are designed for ultimate durability and style, and we offer a wide variety of colors and finishes to exactly meet the look and feel you want. Most floor coatings are water-based epoxy systems that harden with time and can become brittle in as little as two years, leading to cracks in your floor. Our polyurea floor coatings are 4x stronger than epoxy, will not chip, peel or delaminate, and offer the absolute best in form and function.

PPR Concrete Coatings boasts the industry's biggest choice of high-quality flooring. Our surfaces are designed to endure and laid to protect the hardest-wearing environments. Below are only a few examples of our style and color range. Do get in touch to view alternative options – they are all suitable for residential or commercial applications.

PPR Concrete Coatings Process

PPR Concrete Coatings - How it is Made

Preparing the Floor – Base Coating

First, we mix the base coating, our self-priming polyurea, which we use to seal the edges and coat the prepared concrete floor. We use rollers to ensure a smooth distribution of the polyurea. This rolling process is repeated several times to maintain a uniform and complete coverage.

Spreading the Color Flake

After the base layer is smoothly spread, we "broadcast" (evenly scatter) your choice of flake color into the still-wet base layer by hand. Using a sufficiently large quantity of flake, we ensure an even and complete covering for a uniform finish in texture and color.

Scraping the Flake

After the base is fully cured, we "scrape" the flake layer down, using metal scraping tools. We’ll walk evenly over the surface, applying pressure to scrape loose any flakes which are standing above the surface, and smoothing it evenly all over.

Applying a Clear Coating

Once prepped, base layered, flaked and scraped, we vacuum up any loose flakes and, in the final stage, apply a transparent coating. We’ll begin with the upright surfaces, then spread the top layer over the horizontal surfaces. To maintain an even distribution we combine rolling with use of a squeegee, achieving a perfectly smooth finish.

Readying your Floor for Use

We recommend leaving the floor for 4 to 6 hours to ensure its fully dry before walking on it. After 48 hours it should be solid enough to drive or park. Hopefully you’ll love your pristine new floor!

PPR Concrete Coatings

Four Times More Durable than Epoxy

Polyurea’s molecular construction makes it extremely strong – for flexibility, horizontal linkage, and resistance to damage it’s a high-performance choice. Polyurea is sufficiently malleable to cope with a wide range of abuse, since it spreads minutely to disperse impacts, similar to how a rubber tire deforms under a car’s weight.

PPR Concrete Coatings

Won’t Peel, Chip, or Lose its Laminate

Compared to Epoxy or Hybrid floor coatings, Polyureas prove 98% more flexible. Their improved flexibility allows them to endure rapid temperature fluctuation. Polyurea will expand or contract along with the underlying concrete, maintaining the surface’s strength and integrity.

PPR Concrete Coatings

Stain, Gasoline, Oil, and UV-Ray Resistant

Polyurea surfaces are impermeable to a wider range of chemicals than epoxies. Their dense, cross-linked molecular composition makes them resistant to oil, gasoline, grease, acids, hydroxides, skydrol, and staining. 100% UV stable, polyureas prove long-lasting and durable.
